Description
I never get tired of a great tuna salad recipe. Out of the many versions I’ve tried, this one is my favorite when I want the best. It’s delicious served on a bed of greens or piled high between slices of your favorite bread, making it perfect for tuna melts, too.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 (5-ounce) cans of tuna packed in water, drained
- 1 cup of mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup of finely chopped celery (about 1 rib)
- 2 tablespoons of minced red onion (about 2 small slices)
- 2 tablespoons of sweet pickle relish
- 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
- 1 clove of minced garlic
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 12 slices of sandwich bread
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix together the tuna, mayonnaise, celery, onion, relish, lemon juice, and garlic.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste (I recommend 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of pepper).
- You can serve it right away on bread or refrigerate it until you’re ready to serve. Enjoy!
