  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or clarified butter, optional
  • Salt optional 

Instructions

To toast pecans in the oven:

  1. To prep for baking, preheat your oven to 350 degrees and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
  2. After prepping your baking sheet (lining it with parchment paper or foil), toss the pecans in oil and salt (if desired) and arrange them in a single layer.Toast the mixture, stirring occasionally, until browned and fragrant, for about 7 to 10 minutes. 
  3. After removing from the oven, chop the mixture for desired use or store it whole in an airtight container for up to 1 week. 

To toast pecans on the stove: 

  1. For a nutty topping, toss pecans in oil and salt (if desired), then heat them in a medium skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until browned and fragrant (about 2 to 5 minutes).
  2. Once removed from the skillet, chop the mixture for immediate use, use it whole as desired, or store it
